OUR STORY

Like many great ideas, Shnizi Wits was born out of necessity.  Nearly two decades ago, Jonny Sheehan — an avid traveler and outdoor game enthusiast — found himself on a remote beach with his two young children and no football, baseball, paddle ball, or frisbee in sight. Using sticks and bits of beach debris, they created a game on the spot…and Shnizi Wits was born.

Over the years, the Sheehan family played Shnizi Wits on beaches around the world, refining the rules and developing the signature shapes of the Wits and Stakes that make up today’s game.

What started as a simple way to entertain the family became a fast-paced game that’s fun for family and friends — easy to pick up, but impossible to put down. Just like our motto says: Easy to learn, hard to quit. We hope Shnizi Wits becomes your family’s go-to beach and lawn game for years to come.
